Individual therapy

One-on-One Therapy for Trauma, Depression and Anxiety.

A weekly hour with a therapist who actually knows trauma — and treats you like a whole person, not a chart. Available statewide via secure video.

What therapy at Dixon looks like

You meet your therapist weekly for 50 minutes. No couches with stiff cushions — just a quiet hour, on your laptop, in a space that's yours. We use EMDR, CBT, DBT, and ACT, and we mix them based on what you actually need.

  • Weekly 50-minute sessions
  • Secure HIPAA-compliant video
  • Same therapist every week
  • Care coordinated with your prescriber

We specialize in

  • Trauma & PTSD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Life Transitions
  • Grief & Loss
  • Identity & Self

EMDR, in plain language.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. That's a mouthful. Here's what it actually does: it helps your brain finish processing memories that got stuck. You don't have to talk about every detail. You don't have to relive it. You just let your brain do what it couldn't do at the time.

It works — and it works fast for a lot of people. Most clients notice a shift within the first few sessions.

Who we see

  • • Self-pay clients
  • • Insurance clients (most major plans)
  • • IOP step-down clients continuing care
  • • Teens (with parental consent)

Your care team

How your care team works

At Dixon, you're never working with a single provider in isolation. Every client is supported by a coordinated clinical team — your primary therapist, a Medical Director providing psychiatric oversight, and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for medication evaluation and monitoring. It's an intentional boutique model: precision staffing over volume. This integrated structure is what allows us to deliver IOP-level care safely and effectively.

Primary therapist (LCSW)

Your weekly one-on-one clinician — the relationship at the center of your care.

Medical Director

A physician providing psychiatric oversight across the program for safety and clinical quality.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Medication evaluation, prescribing, and monitoring — coordinated directly with your therapist.

Clinical services are provided under the supervision of Lauren Dean, LCSW #110737, Founder and Clinical Director, in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences regulations.
